Bernhards Ogutu is a Chief Research Officer at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Senior Clinical Trialist with INDEPTH Network, and a Board Registered Pediatrician of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board. He is also a member of the Expert Committee on Clinical Trials of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and the Regulatory Authority of the Kenyan Ministry of Health. He was instrumental in establishing the Malaria Diagnostic Centre of Excellence at KEMRI, Kisumu. Dr. Ogutu has extensive experience in malaria research and has been involved in a number of malaria vaccine and drug trials at the KEMRI Centres in Kisumu and Kilifi. He has published over 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals and authored two book chapters. Dr. Ogutu is actively involved in several scientific working groups in the field of malaria and clinical trials within and outside Africa.
James Aggrey Oloo Otieno is a Professor of Medicine and Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, with vast experience in clinical research and field based health research in sub Saharan Africa. He supported research planning, implementation and administration as director of a field research centre of Kenya Medical Research Institute in Kisumu Kenya. He was a WHO national office technical support for the Ministry of Health in Kenya on malaria control. As an International Professional Officer at WHO Regional Office for Africa supported member countries in malaria control policy elaboration based on evidence. He was a network director for African Malaria Network Trust (AMANET) and provided oversight for malaria candidate vaccines trials throughout the network in sub Saharan Africa. He is widely published in Communicable Diseases, and a reviewer for East African Medical Journal. Has supported establish new Medical Schools at Uzima University in Kisumu Kenya and Masinde Muliro University in Kakamega, Kenya.

Her core competencies include site monitoring where she has evaluated over 3,000 site visit reports. She is also well-versed in a range of CTMS platforms, electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) systems, and various Electronic Data Capture (EDC) platforms, showcasing her adaptability and comprehensive skill set in clinical research operations.
Dr. Rupali plays an essential role in ensuring regulatory compliance and driving quality across all clinical research operations. She manages the review and approval of SOPs, facilitates interdepartmental policy revisions, and ensures adherence to GCP, ICH, ISO and other regulatory standards. She also leads the implementation of CAPA, addresses non- conformities, and supports comprehensive training in quality systems. Her responsibilities further include overseeing the quality of Trial Master Files (TMFs) and spearheading continuous improvements in QA processes.
Ms Swarna is a skilled biostatistician with over four years of extensive experience in clinical research across India and Nepal. She specializes in providing crucial inputs to protocol development, SAP, SAR, and generating randomization, as well as conducting sample size calculations. Her expertise extends to actively participating in DSMB charter meetings for numerous projects. With a focus on Phase III and IV PMS trials and Observational Studies, she has contributed to over 15 trials.
